Hydra Engine

Releases

Downloads and checksums

Each release is cut by the repository's release workflow: it builds the headless install on Windows, runs the engine's test suites on the unzipped install, and publishes the zip with a SHA256SUMS file. You need a JDK 25 and Python 3.10 or later; the install has no JDK.

Read from the GitHub releases API when this site was built on 26 October 2026. The GitHub releases page is always current.

Hydra Engine 12.3-hydra.1latest

· v12.3-hydra.1 on GitHub

SHA-256 values are the digests GitHub computed for each uploaded file; SHA256SUMS holds the same value for the zip, written by the release workflow.

Verify a download

Compare the hash with the one above or in SHA256SUMS before you unzip.

Windows (PowerShell)
Get-FileHash hydra-engine-12.3-hydra.1-win_x86_64.zip -Algorithm SHA256
Linux or macOS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS # or: shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS

Other platforms

Releases ship Windows x64 only, the platform CI tests. The launcher and module have no Windows-only path, and Linux x64 and macOS arm64 builds passed the test suites once in a release dry run, but they are not released or tested routinely. Build from source there:

shell
git clone https://github.com/RusticStack/hydra-engine.git
cd hydra-engine
./gradlew -I gradle/support/fetchDependencies.gradle -DnoEclipse # once
./gradlew buildHeadless                                             # -> build/dist/ghidra_12.3_DEV
